Zac Efron as Bond Villain Le Chiffre

One simply must give credit to Zac Efron for keeping the so-called dream alive, for the bloke hasn’t even been deterred by the recent Me and Roy Rogers Orson Welles poster debacle. Now, Efron has professed his further desire to stretch mightily against his relatively limited acting range by antagonizing Daniel Craig’s 007:

I’m a huge James Bond fan. I’d love to be a Bond baddie. I’ve seen pretty much every Bond film. Sean Connery is my favorite and I really like GoldenEye with Pierce Brosnan.

Uh, okay. There’s no way for me to elaborate upon this without lowering the conversational tone with some unnecessary harshness, so perhaps someone else can diplomatically articulate why Efron isn’t particularly suited for a Bond villain role. For now, this would be the moment when, once again, I just can’t resist mentioning that my favourite Bond villain is still (sorry, purists) Le Chiffre from Casino Royale (that bleeding tear duct is just so irresistable).

Meanwhile, Efron is still making not-so-subtle motions to nominate himself for the Bedhead Hall Of Shame by revealing his secret to mussed-up hair:

I’ve never told anyone this before. This is a hair scoop. Shower before you go to bed, and then sleep on your wet hair. Towel-dry it. In the morning, it’s all messed up naturally. If you have that messed-up thing going when you wake up, it’s more willing to stay that way. That’s Zac’s hair tip.

Thanks Zac, but if you’ve actually got a method to achieving the “messed-up thing,” you’re still just trying too damn hard.
