The King of Soul will finally be able to rest in peace.

According to a new report, several attorneys involved in the legal battle over James Brown’s estate says they’re nearing a settlement in the dispute over who gets what of the late singer’s fortune.

An attorney for some of the Godfather of Soul’s adult children says the settlement will end much of the infighting that’s powered some dramalicious courtroom hearings.

However, the source could not provide specifics on the settlement talks, citing a confidentiality agreement.

There’s also a new twist to the saga.

A man who claims to be Brown’s half brother says he’ll undergo a DNA test this week to prove his link to James.

If it’s money he’s after he needs lots of luck. James’ kids don’t seem to be the sharing type!
