Nicky Hilton attended Parsons School of Design and Fashion Institute of Technology but did not finish her degree.

She launched her own clothing line, Chick by Nicky Hilton and has also designed a line of handbags for Japanese company Samantha Thavasa.

In 2007, she started her second line, the high-end Nicholai. It debuted at the spring/summer 2008 season for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
