News > Nate Corddry is the Double “Truth,” Ruth

Rob Corddry's younger brother Nate ("Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip") has just been cast in two movies with similar titles. Either that or Variety is a bit confused. It seems he's got a supporting role in the Ricky Gervais-Matthew Robinson all-star comedy film "This Side of the Truth," as well as a role in a romantic comedy called "The Ugly Truth" starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.

The first film, starring Gervais, Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Christopher Guest, Tina Fey, and many more, takes place in a world in which lying has never been discovered. When Gervais's character realizes that he doesn't need to always tell the truth, he finds that his paths to career and romantic success suddenly open up. The second film is about "A romantically challenged morning show producer (Heigl) who is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent (Butler) to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love. His clever ploys, however, lead to an unexpected result." Oh, gee, I wonder what that could be.

Good for young Corddry. That's a tough shadow to sneak out from under.
