We still have about a month and a half wait before the fourth season of Hell’s Kitchen premieres on Fox on April 1. One imagines that at this very moment, there is some exhausted post-production staff member developing a serious callous on the finger he or she uses to bleep out all of Gordon Ramsay’s obscenities.
In case you’re suspecting that one shot of Hell’s Kitchen a week will simply not be enough for you, there is some additional good news for you during the month of April: the first season of Hell’s Kitchen will be released on DVD.
The three-disc set is scheduled for release on April 8, and can be pre-ordered right this very minute if you want to lock that in as soon as possible.
But keep one thing in mind: if you are the delicate sort who relies on that well-calloused bleeping finger to shield you from the salty language that usually emanates from Gordon Ramsay’s mouth, this DVD might not be for you. The release is being touted as “raw and uncensored,” meaning every foul utterance will be loud and clear on the DVD.
In addition to the unfiltered language, the DVD will also include a special feature that includes interviews with the series’ producers and directors, an interview with Gordon Ramsay, and a tour of the Hell’s Kitchen set.
Can’t remember what the first season was all about? Well, it was pretty much more of the same, but here’s the official DVD blurb: “12 terrified wannabe chefs compete with the cooking to win a world class restaurant. Gordon Ramsay the acerbic host of the show will challenge and fire the chefs at his whim. Featuring explosive confrontations and compelling intrigue as chefs stab each other in the back to get the ultimate prize. In the end it’s the chef’s skill and their cooking that makes the difference. “
