Last week, we gave you spoilers for tonight’s Boston Legal episode entitled “The Chicken and the Leg.” This week, just as avid fans of the legal drama devour the cackle-centric episode, we’ve already got the inside dish on next week’s plate of cases for the offices of Crane, Poole & Schmidt.
Next Tuesday’s installment tackles the sticky subject of homosexuality in the nation’s military on the Boston Legal episode called “Do Tell.”
In “Do Tell,” an old buddy of Denny Crane (William Shatner) shows up seeking representation after the army threatens to discharge him when he confesses to being a homosexual. Denny is stunned with the news about his long-time friend, General “Fitz” Fitzgerald, even as fellow senior partner, Shirley Schmidt (Candace Bergen) agrees to take on his case.
Elsewhere and with still more spoilers, one of tonight’s protagonists, Miguel Obispo, returns to the
legal firm to seek Carl Sack’s (John Larroquette) help anew, this time regarding the custody of his nine-year old boy. Miguel stands to lose his son, Domingo, when the boy’s mother, Marisol, threatens to take him away because Miguel has allowed him to engage as a bullfighter.
Carl decides to hand off Miguel’s new problem to new associate, Whitney Rome (Taraji P. Henson), who can understand the Spanish language. Katie Lloyd (Tara Summers) assists Whitney on the custody case.
Finally, Alan Shore (James Spader) suffers another bout of incoherent speech, carrying on with “word salad” gibberish yet refusing to reveal the reason behind it. At the same time that his mouth appears to run off on its own, Shore confides to Denny Crane that Lorraine Weller (Saffron Burrows) reminds him of the mature woman who gave him his first carnal encounter when he was 14 years old.
“Do Tell” features guest appearances by Sam McMurray as General Fitzgerald, Henry Gibson as Judge Clark Brown, Paul Schulze as JAG Schoenewics, Rick Deats as General Milton Eckert, Roma Maffia as Judge Victoria Peyton, Jessica Tuck as Attorney Sheila Zale, Lauri Johnson as Sister Catherine O’Reilly and Rolando Molina returning as Miguel Obispo.
The episode airs on ABC’s Boston Legal next Tuesday, October 16 at 10pm.
