In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new reality show on VH1 that teaches socially inept men the art of attracting and “picking up” women. Fittingly called The Pickup Artist, the series takes place in Austin, Texas and currently airs Mondays nights at 9pm.

The Pickup Artist features eight misfits living together as they learn and compete for the title of “Master Pickup Artist.”  With the guidance of Mystery, best-selling author and nerd turned expert pickup artist, and his wingmen Matador and J Dog, participants attempt to turn the women of their dreams into the women of their reality through a rigorous boot camp.

On the other hand, participants aren’t just confined in the walls of this seduction school.  After each lesson, they must apply what they have learned, hitting bars, clubs and coffee houses in an effort to make a love connection.  Of course, hidden cameras follow all the participants, making it easier for Mystery to determine who has the potential to continue and who must go.

In each episode, one contestant will be declared the winner of a challenge and granted immunity from elimination, while one will be sent home.  At the end of the eight weeks, one winner will be named "Master Pickup Artist" and awarded $50,000.

So far, Fred and Spoon have already left the competition, leaving six remaining students vying for the title of “Master Pickup Artist.”

These include:

Alvaro, also known as “Kosmo,” a 23-year-old video game programmer who says he freezes up around women.

Brady, a 25-year-old photographer who feels inadequate and lacks confidence.

Joe D., a 25-year-old overweight medical web developer who feels uncomfortable with his appearance.

Joseph, a 23-year-old caterer who wants to learn how to get out of the “friend zone.”

Pradeep, a 22-year-old researcher who wants to learn how to have a competent mouth.

Scott, a 26-year-old laboratory manager who gets nervous and stutters around women.

Find out who’s going to be eliminated on next week’s episode of The Pickup Artist, where the six remaining students are treated to a kissing lesson with the help of some attractive female coaches.
