George Takei Heroes "Landslide"The penultimate Heroes has arrived, and it is loaded with shocking reveals, death, deals with the devil, and more cliffhangers than you can shake a stick at.  Nuclear man Ted, Matt, and H.R.G have arrived in New York, Peter has coaxed Claire to join the mission, and Linderman has kidnapped Micah.   Next week a man will explode, but will it be Peter, Ted, or Sylar?  Read on to find out.

Make no doubt about it, Nathan is slipping towards the dark side.  Even though his mother has convinced him to go along with Linderman’s plan, he is still conflicted; until Linderman heals his wife and she is able to walk.  Now he is on board.

The reason Micah was taken is finally revealed.  It couldn’t have been more obvious.  Candice takes him to the voting polls and he manipulates the electronic voting machines giving Nathan a landslide victory.

Claire and Peter run into H.R.G and company and tell him about the exploding man prophecy.  H.R.G sends Ted, Peter (Milo Ventimiglia), and Claire (Hayden Panettiere) out of town in an attempt to avert fate, but Sylar (Zachary Quinto) is one step behind.  He has his eyes on Ted’s power.

Hiro (Masi Oka) is lured to a sword repair shop and finds his father waiting for him.  Apparently, dad is  now willing to train Junior on the ancient art of the Samurai.  Hiro begins his “instant Jedi” training.  Ando is convinced that Hiro is going to allow himself to get talked out of the mission, buys a sword, and decides to take on Sylar himself.

H.R.G and Matt (Greg Grunberg) show up to kill the tracking system and it turns out being the little girl that Matt coaxed out of a closet earlier in the season.    In the process, Matt does away with his boss (Eric Roberts), but Mohinder knocks out Matt and they wind up in a Tarantinoesque stand off with H.R.G’s gun trained on the girl and Mohinder’s (Sendhil Ramamurthy) gun trained on H.R.G.

Dl (Leonard Roberts) and Jessica (Ali Larter) confront Linderman.  Linderman coaxes Jessica with some money, appealing to her dark side.   Jessica knows she can’t resist the offer so she gives herself back to Nikki.   Linderman is going to shoot her, but DL steps in front of her and takes the bullet.  Undeterred,  Linderman stalks over to put a bullet in her and DL uses his phasing abilities to reach inside Linderman’s head and squish his brain.  Linderman is dead, for the moment.

Meanwhile, Sylar calls the FBI to inform on Ted and he gets picked up.  Later, Sylar flips the van holding Ted and does his head slice.  At the end of the episode, Sylar is perched on a building overlooking the city and mutters “Boom.”

Awesome build up to what will be an awesome finale!
