Eva Longoria showed sympathy for the Writers Guild of America strikers yesterday afternoon with pizza while Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy picked up signs and joined the crowd outside the Desperate Housewives set. DH will officially shut down production tomorrow, being the first show to do so. Buzz is keeping us up to date on how the strike will affect our favorite shows — including the news that 24 is delayed indefinitely and The Office only has two more episodes before it goes into reruns. I can only imagine how hard it is for the writers, who are sacrificing paychecks that pale in comparison to the stars on their shows. It’s a little bit heartening that actors like Eva are supporting the people who are there to feed her the amazing plot lines she and her colleagues get to work with. For everyone’s sake, hopefully the two sides are able to negotiate a better deal soon.
